The U-14 Basketball team of the Claretian School of Trujillo raised the golden cup in the National stage (final) of the School Sports and Para-sports Games (JEDPA), an event organized by the Ministry of Education. The winners of all sports categories and disciplines will represent the country at the Santiago 2023 South American School Championship, in Chile.

This event took place in stages, in which the Claretian team has been climbing without losing any game. It began in the UGEL stage where they played matches against local schools, continued in the Regional stage, after having obtained first place in this stage, it went to the Macro Regional stage, competing against teams from the North of the country, to go to the capital and compete against the teams of the best schools in the country.
The U14 basketball team of our school is made up of: Patrick Rubén Urquiaga Tuesta, Stefano Nicolás Robles Gallegos, Jorge Eduardo Vargas Morales, Julio Antonio Mercado Acosta, Ricardo Valentino Ramos Maguiña, Alex Ríos Silva, Renzo Mateo Macedo García, Diego Alexander Verástegui Medina, Gabriel Tamay Bocanegra, Fabricio Sebastián Sánchez Delgado and his coach Christian Ganoza Lozada.
It is important to emphasize the important support of the parents, who accompanied them traveling to Lima with their children and shared the national title. There is no doubt that the best basketball is played in our city and it is demonstrated with this important achievement that fills his school and the entire Trujillo commune with pride.
